Wildflower from Knit Collage is definitely one of our most unique yarns. Handmade from strips of cotton voile fabric, each fabric skein is printed with traditional Indian paisley and flower designs. The yarn is a happy mix of old-world India prints paired with modern colors. When the craftswomen we work with receive the fabric, they then cut it into strips and knot it together to make each skein. Wildflower yarn is perfect for warm weather projects or knitters with wool allergies. The fabric is lightweight, so even though it calls for a larger needle size, the end result is still light and airy...and quick to knit! This yarn is perfect for warm weather projects or anyone with an adversity to wool. We love it as a striping accent in cardigans and sweaters or use a whole skein for smaller projects (think: the cutest fingerless gloves ever).
Please note - the neon color, Coral Crush, is slightly more stiff due to the bright colors used in printing. The raw edges and knots are part of the rustic, handmade aesthetic we love! Expect fraying! We also recommend fixing the dyes for this yarn before you knit with it - especially for colors Coral Crush and Tribal.
