Knit Your First Sweater • Improve Your Skills
Join Stephanie Lieberman Paley & Observatory for this 4-class series where you will walk away with your first sweater. You will learn and master all the necessary skills to prepare, knit & finish a completed garment. We will be using the wonderful pattern by our friends at Espace Tricot called Calliope.
Starting with a gauge swatch to get the perfect fit you will learn how to hold the correct tension, adjust needle sizes, ease, and blocking. After casting on and starting with the neck trim from top-down you will explore short rows and raglan increases. Then you will separate the sleeves and continue to finish the body of the sweater. Finally, you will work sleeves and cast off.
